Intel is preparing a web-based TV service by the end of 2012

It seems that Intel is preparing to enter the game of data distribution, with The Wall Street Journal indicating that the processor manufacturer plans to release a web-based service with TV set-top box from the same Intel. The Intel is in talks with several media companies in recent months, aiming to provide video material similar to the current cable and satellite providers, only that the material will be offered through the Internet. Customers must provide their own internet connection to access the service. The company is rumored to be released in the new service by the end of the year, although it remains unknown whether Intel will be ready to meet its objectives - sources of The Wall Street Journal report that there are still some content agreements. With Intel probably preparing the new service, the rumored Apple TV set and the new online TV network Ora.tv which tries to restore the Larry King, it seems that the internet-based TV begins to push the other satellite and cable providers.
