End of the operation of Chomp for Android since the purchase from Apple

A few months after the acquisition of the search service for applications Chomp, Apple has quietly decided to stop the Android version of Chomp.

As first discovered by GigaOm, the application had disappeared from Google Play, and all references to Google's mobile OS were removed from the site of Chomp. Apple bought the company for undisclosed sum earlier this year, and many believe that the Chomp algorithm will be used to improve search on iTunes and App Store.

Another big question is what is the relationship between the Chomp and U.S. phone company Verizon Wireless. Before the acquisition by Apple, the technology used by Chomp provider in search results on VCAST Android storefront.
