RapidShare considered legal in Germany

Recently, the Higher Regional Court of Hamburg ruled that the notorious file sharing site RapidShare have to filter all files that users upload to the servers.


Now two weeks later, the Court finally changed the verdict and decide finally that RapidShare is operating legally in Germany. This means that automatically freed from having to go through all the control files of users.


On the other hand, RapidShare is required to block all links to external sites that illegally distribute copyrighted material. The popular website said that it is consistent with the verdict and has already implemented a system that detects and blocks direct links to protected content.


Moreover, in an effort to "prevent" piracy, the company announced some time ago to reduce the download speed for all free users.
