LibreOffice: Intel is the new ally for the open-source suite!

The Document Foundation (TDF), responsible for the creation of LibreOffice, announced a new and very important alliance with Intel, which not only launched its suite free through the App Store Intel AppUp, but will financially support the organization (FOSS - free open source software) for the competition of the suite Microsoft Office!

The special version of LibreOffice available through the Intel AppUp Center store has been created by SUSE, supports 5 different languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish), promising quick and easy install / uninstall on Windows PC computers and includes programs for word processing, creating presentations, etc.

The representative of The Document Foundation, Florian Effenberger, said:

"We are excited about the fact that Intel was also added to our supporters. The TDF has been devoted to the creation of the suite, but we very much appreciate the support and advice we gain from organizations such as SUSE, Red Hat, Google, Free Software Foundation and Software in the Public Interest "

For his part, head for open-source software from Intel, Dawn Foster, said:

"Our engineers have worked a lot with code LibreOffice, to optimize the suite for our hardware. Adding to the AppUp Center was something obvious, but we are preparing something impressive for users Ultrabooks "

The one who does not feel good, obviously the Microsoft ...
