Microsoft Research in collaboration with the University of Washington currently working on a new project, which, when completed, will allow diabetics to monitor their glucose levels easily, quickly and painlessly primarily through special lenses!


The new contact lenses called temporary 'Functional Contact Lenses' and contain an enzyme that reacts with tears. During the reaction made ​​the appropriate measurements using bio-compatible electrodes and then the results are transferred wirelessly to a compatible device (eg smartphone).
