The first year's Google TVs are starting to make their appearance at CES 2012 (see Lenovo K91 Smart TV) and rumors on Apple's iTV still exists, however, the alternative proposal comes from Canonical with Ubuntu TV! The aim of Canonical is to simplify the monitoring process and to find content (from services online video, movie streaming, etc.) while providing free Linux-based operating system for TV manufacturers and the first Ubuntu TVs will be available later in 2012.
