Pebble: A new E-Paper wristwatch for iPhone and Android


Pebble is a prototype wristwatch with an e-paper technology display and connectivity with iPhone and Android smartphones via Bluetooth (2.1 + EDR), which recently launched the website Kickstarter scoring fluke.

The interface of Pebble is fully customizable through specialized applications will be available in the respective App store.


For example, a cyclist or a runner can use Pebble as a device to monitor the speed, distance, pace and other relevant data through the GPS smartphone, with the indications to appear directly on screen clock (144 × 168 pixels) .





Pebble supports several alarm function (notifications, messages & alerts) in connection with your smartphone. Some of these are:


Caller
Notification of incoming email
calendar Notifications
Notification of new messages on Facebook and Twitter
updates weather
Incoming SMS (only for Android)
The price of the Pebble Kickstarter starting at $ 99 and so far has far exceeded the initial target of $ 100,000, reaching $ 669,000 (!) The time of writing this article.
