Firefox Flicks: video competition from Mozilla with great prizes




A few days now, Mozilla has announced the launch of a new video contest titled Firefox Flicks. The competition is open to everyone of us for presenting video on the issue of online piracy and security.


The videos uploaded on the site are judged by a panel of well-known and respected filmmakers of Hollywood, such as Edward Norton, known for his role in Primal Fear, Fight Club and Incredible Hulk and Couper Samuelson, producer of the Destination Wedding among others.


Winners of the Firefox Flicks will win the following prizes:


Grand Prize Winners: The first winners (one from America, Canada, Latin America and Europe) will each receive from $ 10.000.
Category Winners: Each region will select one winner for each category: Best 30 second spot, Best Animation, Best Public Service Announcement, Best Use of New Open Technology. Each of the winners will receive $ 5.000.
Category Runners Up: The second to be selected for each category and each region will receive $ 1.000.
Also, the first thousand participants will receive a limited edition package that includes collectible T-shirts, stickers, pens, notebooks etc.
