Gorilla Glass 2: The first devices with the new coating will come during April-May

The coating of Gorilla Glass 2 Corning was first unveiled at CES 2012, but in the MWC 2012 the company took the opportunity to announce that it began distributing the new coatings to its associates and the first devices will make their appearance in April -May. 




Please note that Gorilla Glass 2 is 20% thinner than the first generation coating without disadvantage durability and performance. 


According to Vice President, David R. Velasquez, 


"The new coating of Corning, Gorilla Glass 2, allows the creation of more flexible and sleeker devices with sharper images and greater sensitivity to touch, providing an ideal solution for the latest generation of smartphones, tablets and PCs" 


For those wondering how big is the network of Corning, suffice to say that working with more than 30 companies (the largest range) and the coating is placed on more than 600 products to date (600 million devices around the world!) .
