LaCie announced two new product series at CES 2012, 2big Thunderbolt Series and eSATA Hub Thunderbolt Series, addressed to those who want plenty of storage space and high speed data transfer, which guarantees the technology Thunderbolt.
The 2big Thunderbolt Series includes hard drives up to 8TB, and thanks to technology Thunderbolt is 3 times faster than FireWire 800 RAID, data transfer to touch the 311MB / s. Ideal for those who often keep a backup of files and those streamaroun HD videos.
As regards the eSATA Hub Thunderbolt Series, allowed to connect two eSATA hard disks on the Mac via the host Thunderbolt, and also features a jack for connecting other peripherals Thunderbolt even though they are already connected hard drives. That way you can connect up to 12 eSATA drives in a Mac, using only one host Thunderbolt.
Both will be released in the first quarter of 2012, no price announced yet.
