Samsung aims to sell 200 million smartphones in 2012

After the announcement of the new flagship device, the Galaxy S III smartphone, the strong man of Samsung, JK Shin, revealed that his company aims too high for 2012. According to Shin, the Samsung aims to sell 200 million smartphones this year, increasing its share of the global market from 21.1% in 2011 to 23% to 24%, as indicated by MarketWatch.

According to analyst firm Strategy Analytics,  Samsung is on track to achieve the high target set, as calculated as it has managed to sell 44.5 million smartphones in the first quarter and is now the number one manufacturer in the world, surpassing even the Apple. The Shin emphasizes that even the Galaxy S III includes several modifications to the software and the design that will help the company to avoid any lawsuits for patent violations, which Samsung has confronted many times before.
