Samsung launches advertising platform against Apple and Google

Samsung today announced the AdHub Market, a new service is expected to compete with the advertising platform AdMob and iAd of Apple and Google respectively.

The Korean company will work closely with OpenX Technologies allowing developers to gain high and advertisers to reach a wide audience.

The two companies are making it the first time I attempted this approach in the field of advertising on mobile devices. The Samsung chose very carefully the OpenX studying alongside other alternatives. The OpenX now has a turnover of $ 100 million per year and actively entered the field of advertising.

To AdHub Market is expected to become available in the second half of 2012 while waiting for more information and details.

With this move, the Samsung is once again confronted by Google, the maker of Android used in the popular series Galaxy. H Google is based largely on profits from advertising and you will not necessarily be pleased that its profits will fall.

For its part, Apple made a strong start with iAd in 2010 but since then the platform is in constant decline. Various problems, such as service availability in a few countries and the high price of participation away advertisers. The company has recently taken steps to improve the platform by increasing the share of profits for developers to 70 percent and reducing the initial value from 1 million to $ 100.000 .

Samsung reveals that sent 5 million Galaxy Note tablets

Samsung announced yesterday that he has sent 5 million pieces of Galaxy Note from the release date in October. This figure can not be compared with the 10 million Galaxy S II smartphones the company had sent the first six months that the device was available, but given the unique "hybrid" Note position in the market are impressive figures. Of course, it is important to emphasize that the Samsung announces the devices shipped - not how many sold - hence the actual number of Note is less used.

The number is expected to increase in April, when the device will be available in Japan by NTT Docomo enabled LTE, and the name "Docomo Next Series Galaxy Note SC-05D". This new Note will be available in white color with 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 32GB capacity and will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Therefore, now seems quite likely that the Samsung Galaxy S III will have Exynos 4412 processor with four cores ARM Cortex A9 32nm 1.5-1.8GHz, quad-core ARM Mali GPU, 64-bit Neon media engine and ability to support a 1080p display device 3D.

Samsung prepares Android camera

Last month, Samsung filed a request to protect the trademark "Galaxy Camera". Of course we all thought that maybe Samsung is planning a device to carry around digital cameras with the Android smartphones. The device can serve both as a camera phone as well as the software will allow these changes. The use of special effects to photos and useful tools for the photographer will make the camera a unique and Samsung seems to consider its options.
The company may not indicate the Android but has said he discussed the possibility of creating a hardware Samsung camera and another operating system. This gives many options in the company, but logic says it will focus on Android, and trademarking mentioned supports this hypothesis. On the other hand, the Samsung does not admit its plans, perhaps the move was not a simple domain name to protect the trademark. Certainly it shows that Samsung hurry to release an Android camera.

Battle between the new iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1!

A few hours after the official launch of the new iPad, the Samsung did not remain with arms folded, and reminds the public that the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (with the stylus S-Pen) and even directly compare the two tablets!

As you see in the chart below focuses on the Samsung interface and functionality, noting first that the Galaxy Note 10.1 you can watch and use / work in two applications simultaneously, something not possible in the new iPad.

This is true enough that the user uses one of the specific applications that support the Samsung equivalent API for Android.

Then, the comparison goes to S-Pen stylus of the Galaxy Note, which gives the user the ability to write and paint with excellent accuracy, which is also missing from the new iPad. Thanks to the stylus, the user can also take notes in an application as another monitor, and here the Samsung says the new iPad can do, as long as you have your pen and paper. Closing on the stylus, indicating that they are accurately managing and editing photos, but here goes on to discuss possibilities of application and not the characteristics of the device, so it is rather pointless argument.

Finally, Samsung says the new iPad is thicker and heavier than the Galaxy Note 10.1 (Galaxy Tabs in general are less massive than the iPads), while the latter has infrared technology to be used as a remote control, and of course includes microSD and USB slots .

All right so far, but there is no reference in the resolution of the display, the processor and camera. Moreover, the new iPad released in major markets of the world within the next 2 weeks, with prices already known and pre-orders already in progress, while we can not say the same for the Galaxy Note 10.1, and inevitably the least Apple wins time the war of marketing.

BONUS: Since the post refers to comparisons, we cite the following very interesting comparative chart that Engadget puts it next to the new iPad Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - Asus Transformer Pad Infinity - Toshiba Excite X10 LE.

Samsung Galaxy Note: It exceeded the 2 million sales!

When first introduced the Samsung Galaxy Note, essentially inaugurating the category of tabletphones, there were few who questioned that it will succeed, despite the fact that it is a remarkable device with excellent features.

Finally, after four months on the shelves, sales topped 2 million worldwide, proving that there is room in the market for equipment 5.3 "!

Of course, this figure is not nearly enough sales of iPhone 4S (37 million), although the Samsung set out to compare through the latest ads, not even those of the Samsung Galaxy S II (exceeded 20 million), but ceases to be a remarkable performance, the company expects to reach 10 million by the end of the year!

For safer conclusions on the category of tabletphones, we should see the course and competitors (eg LG Optimus Vu, Panasonic Eluga Power). You will spend money for such a device?
