Many will remember the security hole presented in Skype early last December and revealed the location of users. Now, it has been reported (and officially recognized by Microsoft) that can easily anyone can find the IP address of any user with a very easy way.
Specifically, if someone downloaded a hacked version of SkypeKit and made some adjustments, can add the name of a user to see the account information (country, city, IP address etc.), without seeking confirmation from the user (contact confirmation).
However, Microsoft issued a statement that explores the question:
