The rise of Samsung continues unabated, since the announced financial results for the first quarter of 2012 is very impressive and is now the leading mobile phone maker Nokia throwing from the first position after 14 years.
Specifically, Samsung announced record profit of 8.85 trillion. won (about € 5.91 billion), almost twice those of the corresponding period last year, the company attaches to the huge increase in sales of mobile devices (smartphones / tablets) and televisions.
As regards the first manufacturers, according to the report of the Strategy Analytics, the Samsung has allocated 93.5 million phones in Q1 2012, while Nokia was second with 82.7 million devices.
"Shipments of Nokia globally fell by 24% to 82.7 million units in Q1 2012. The volumes declined because sales have stagnated in low-end featurephones in developing markets, but also because the high-end Lumia smartphones failed to replace the void left by the rapid retreat of Symbian smartphones. The Nokia was the largest appliance manufacturer in the world from 1998 to 2011 for 14 years before you hand over the reigns to Samsung this quarter "
We should note here that these figures relate to those available devices on the market and not selling.
Excellent omens for the Samsung and certainly the future looks bright with the upcoming presentation of Samsung Galaxy S III.
