The torrents do not affect the U.S. Box Office!

With torrents sites closing one after the other (see Megaupload, Filesonic, BTJunkie), the data comes to reverse a new study suggests that illegal file-sharing related little or nothing to the U.S. Box Office.

The study conducted by researchers from the University of Minnesota Wellesley College as noted, reduced sales of the International Office Vox mainly related to delayed releases of films in the world than the U.S..

In other words, the research suggests that users tend to download movies when they are available on the internet and have not even released in their country, which is the responsibility of the film industry.

"The findings suggest that the International Box Office was low at least 7% compared with the sales would have achieved freedom from the early releases torrents. Instead, the U.S. Box Office does not appear to be affected by piracy. We believe that this is responsible for delaying the legitimate movement of the film world. "
