The last period we see everywhere are made efforts to combat piracy. This time, drastic measures will be taken and the music industry, with the RIAA (Recording Industry Association Of America) and IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) threatening to sue Google for its search results.
In their view, the most popular search engine in the world is abusing its dominant position by refusing stubbornly to degrade the search results that lead to pirated content sites. In other words, the RIAA and IFPI accuses Google that gives priority to sites that host pirated material in relation to other legitimate sites.
For its part, Google denies the charges, arguing that the search engine's algorithms operate on the basis of the relativity of what searches every time the user and therefore works objective.
