Although OS X Lion has released a few months ago, Apple today introduced the next major version of OS X with the title OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
The Mountain Lion is available today as a developer preview and is expected to be officially released next summer, including new features such as Notification Center, AirPlay mirroring, Game Center, iMessage, Gatekeeper, etc.
Apple has announced that from now on upgrades to OS X will be conducted on an annual basis to comply with the main upgrades iOS.
