The availability of Android 4.0 began with the release of Galaxy Nexus last November, and Google has recently announced the first statistics on the adoption of the Ice Cream Sandwich. According to the Android Developers versions 4.0 up to 4.0.2 installed in 0.3% of active Android devices, version 4.0.3 - which began circulating on the Nexus S last month, is another 0.3%. These figures of course are very small compared with 55.5% of Android that holds Gingerbread, but a source of information for sales of Galaxy Nexus.In November, Google announced that they have activated 200 million Android devices, along with estimates of Andy Rubin for 700,000 activations per day and the numbers of feasts, estimated around 236 million Android devices. With versions 4.0 to 4.0.2 of the OS available only on Galaxy Nexus, may calculate that they have sold almost 707,700 devices today. Although these numbers do not indicate great success for the new Nexus, the start of but is not that bad. We should expect, of course, official announcements from Samsung and Google with accurate data.
