Lumus OE-31, the technology that converts goggles, helmets and masks into Augmented Reality screens [Video]




Many of you remember the impressive video-glasses of Lumus which, as we have seen, allow the user to watch 3D content as he walks. Now thanks to the new advanced sensor company's OE-31, the technology incorporates not only glass but also on helmets, ski masks, glasses sea, binoculars and anything else you can imagine.




Weighing just 10 grams, o Lumus OE-31 transforms all this into Augmented Reality screens with 19-degree field of view and resolution 640 × 360. The lens can be used either one eye or both.

MacRumors confirms the Retina display for the iPad 3






After presenting the iPad 2 last year, a new round of rumors started about the characteristics of the iPad 3, the Retina high resolution screen to be a major challenge. In yesterday's article MacRumors, says he has in his possession a screen from the iPad 3. The panel has exactly the same size as the previous tablet of Apple, 9.7 inches, but the microscope revealed that the new screen has four times the pixel.
Of course we can not know for sure that this is the display to be used in the production of new iPad. But what we know so far is that this is a 2048 x 1536 LCD screen, 9.7-inch 4:3 aspect ratio and product production is definitely somewhere in the world.

FoldMe, stunning duplex folding screen




Folded the flexible screens is the next major technological step, more and more companies are turning to last in that direction. After folding AMOLED screen Samsung, the series has FoldMe, another impressive display with folding capabilities and even double sided!


In the video below, using two projectors and high definition cameras yperyrthon six, the researcher Juergen Steimle explores all the possibilities of the new screen.


As you can see, the screen changes size and shape of each folding supports multitouching, and understands exactly what situation is each time (when it is open at an angle or folded).

Corning and Samsung agreed to place a Lotus Glass overlay OLED screens!




A highly significant association announced that Corning (known in the coating Gorilla Glass) and Samsung, and decided to join forces to strengthen the extremely thin OLED screens with new technology Lotus Glass.


As we saw last October, the Lotus Glass technology for an ultra thin, durable and flexible coating that can be loaded onto a screen OLED. Essentially Corning will participate in the construction of Samsung OLED screens offering its expertise to enhance their resilience.


It will be interesting to see whether cooperation will concern only small OLED screens or will be extended in future TVs.

Transparent screens 22 "and 46" from Samsung at CES 2012 [Videos]

Samsung has great faith in the translucent screen, which first met last year at CES 2011 and since then we see every major report, but this time the company presented at the CES 2012 "Smart Windows" (Smart Windows), size 22 "and 46" that will leave you with an open mouth!
