Sharp, according to a press release, has started the manufacture of the first screen-based technology IGZO (indium gallium zinc oxide). These monitors have twice the the efficiency of a standard screen and 90% less power consumption than panels that are currently on the market, according to PC World.
Sharp ran some features, such as a tablet 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 and 217 ppi, a 32-inch 3840 x 2160 resolution and 140 ppi. For now we do not know what devices will see the new technology, but surely the company is preparing more surprises.
